Anything I should be aware of?
That depends on your specific person. As with any body product, you should consult your physician before using DoodleBee products if you have any life threatening allergies or conditions. That being said, some specifics:
ALL products are made with ARGAN butter. Argan is a TREE NUT. Consult your physician before use if you have a tree nut allergy. Products are made in a facility that uses PEANUTS, MILK, EGGS, and WHEAT.
Any product containing PEPPERMINT oil should not be used during the third trimester of pregnancy. Peppermint oil can cause a fetus to turn in the womb.
CITRUS oils are photosensitive and can cause burns when exposed to natural sunlight or sun lamps. The citrus oils in DoodleBee products are properly diluted, but please use caution while using these products if you are going to be in the sun. And apply a sunscreen too—just as a good rule of thumb.
Why do you use Argan butter? Isn’t shea butter the most common “butter” in body products?
Shea butter is a great moisturizer…but not as good as Argan butter! Argan butter is very nourishing to the skin and has a comedogenic rating of ZERO (it won’t clog your pores). Argan is non-greasy, meaning I do not need to add any extra ingredients to counteract the grease factor. Shea-based products will often contain Arrowroot powder for this purpose. Added bonus: Argan butter doesn’t really have its own scent, so I’m not battling with it to develop the awesome scents of the products.
What is the age recommendation for these products?
DoodleBee products are safe to use on children as young as two years old! Some beta testers did use the products on infants as young as six months old with no adverse effects (these children were healthy and had no known allergies or medical conditions). You know your children best. Consult your physician if you are unsure about using the products on your children or yourself. See the individual product descriptions for more specific age recommendations.
Are these products really preservative free?
You betcha! Since there is NO WATER in any DoodleBee Body Products the products can last for quite a while without any added preservatives. Keeping your product out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry place (and keeping any lids tightly closed) is typically enough to maintain the quality until the product is used up. That being said, the products don’t last forever. If the smell or consistency of a product drastically changes, it’s best to throw it out.
